Borrow, Renew, Return: Borrow

Borrow a book

The total number of books you can borrow depends on your user type and year of study. You can see this on the right-hand side of this page.

The length of your loan will depend on the loan type of the book you have selected. Further information is available here

All books taken out of the library must be issued to a library account before they are taken out of the building.

Books can be issued to your account via the Library Helpdesk, or self-service kiosks. To use the self-service kiosks, simply:

  1. Press the “Borrow” button.
  2. Scan your student or membership card.
  3. Place your books into the designated space below the screen.
  4. Wait for the green ticks to appear on the screen next to each item.

You will have the option to print or email yourself a receipt.
