PASS: As we bid farewell to our first Micro-Placement, Kayleigh below she reflects on her time with PASS

For the last 15 weeks, I worked with the PASS Scheme on a micro-placement. This was a great experience which I would recommend to anyone who gets the chance to do so.

I have developed more confidence in myself and my work through meeting and talking with PASS Leaders and co-hosting events such as Re-freshers fair. I have also wildly developed my communication skills by composing and sending emails to a wide range of people and creating tweets and social media posts, as well as, communicating effectively with PASS Leaders and members of staff.

During my time I was able to research into peer learning and expand my learning. This gave me a better insight into the importance of peer learning and how effective it is. This also showed me how important the PASS Scheme is for students and that it can improve their grades and experience at university rapidly.

The team members who manage and develop PASS are very dedicated to their roles and have made me feel as part of the team from day one. I have been very lucky to be able to get to know and work with them within the working environment. I would recommend for anyone to take part in the micro-placement scheme, the PASS Scheme placement specifically because it is an amazingly positive experience and you will get a lot out of it.

Kayleigh

Over the last 15 weeks Kayleigh has become a great asset to the PASS team, she has learnt about PASS globally and how we run PASS at UoS. Kayleigh has also worked hard on a project with our PASS Leaders to capture why they became PASS Leader.
