Workshop Aims and Outcomes

Aim

The aims of this workshop are to make sure the attendees are able to leave with an understanding of:

  • How to be a reflective learner with the use of technology

  • The difference between reflecting publically and privately

  • What’s available here at University of Suffolk to offer a private reflective space

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session students will:

  • Understand what reflection and being a reflective learner is

  • Identify its potential to enhance their learning experience, discussing a number of tools.

  • Gain practical experience of using Mahara

Outline of session

The session will include the following

  • Open discussion to gather the thoughts and ideas of the group.

  • Create a Mahara account.

  • Using Mahara create a private journal entry about something you have learnt over the past week at University of Suffolk
