Amber Spalding

Library Assistant

I currently work in the University library during the evenings and weekends. As a library assistant my role involves supporting both students and staff with book and e-resource access and use, reprographics, and administrative tasks. Along with the library team, we collectively answer inquiries via email, phone, online chat and face-to-face – making sure both students and staff receive the support they need.

As an English graduate the library holds for me a special value – with it being a totally unique environment to both study and relax in. I’m so pleased to be working in a team that prioritizes the well-being of students and staff. In September, I am continuing my studies in English, starting the MA in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of Suffolk.
