Induction for Apprentices

All apprentices have access to a module in our Online Learning Environment, Brightspace. This modules includes content which:

  • welcomes them to he University and their course
  • explains the apprenticeship programme, learning expectations and processes such as the tripartite review
  • clarifies the learning to be completed, including any recognised prior learning and achievement of functional skills
  • introduces support for learning and progression from Student Life, Library and Learning Services and Careers, Employability and Enterprise
  • provides workshops and drop ins to begin conversations about the development of academic skills and information literacy and digital skills
  • provides learning in relation to safeguarding, PREVENT, British values and citizenship.

Apprentice learners will retain access to this module throughout their first year of study, enabling them to revisit content.
