Get Ahead for Social Science Courses

Get Ahead for Social Science Courses

Welcome to the University of Suffolk and to the Get Ahead course for Social Science courses starting in September 2017.

We have spent time working with your lecturers to create a programme that will help you get your studies off to a good start and equip you with the skills that you need to be successful at University.

The course will give you the opportunity to consider how study at university is different to that of school or college and how you can make these differences work for you.   You will have the chance to look at how you can effectively plan your time, what you need to do when you have to write your first essay and how to make effective use of IT as well as much more.   Take a look at the tabs on the side of this page to find out more about the sessions that are taking place.

We hope that you find the event an enjoyable and useful experience, throughout the event (and afterwards) we will be available to answer any questions that you have.

How will I be told about the event?

You will receive an email that gives information about the event.

The important things to note are:
