Libraries Week is an annual showcase and celebration of the best that libraries have to offer.
In 2021, Libraries Week takes place between the 4th and 10th October, celebrating the nation’s much-loved libraries and the central role that libraries play in their community as a driver for inclusion, sustainability, social mobility and community cohesion.

Running throughout the week
The Dewey Decimal Classification System is the most widely used method for classifying books in libraries. In honour of Libraries Week, we invite you to give our Dewey Decimal Challenge a go.
We'll time you organising a pre-selected collection of books in Dewey Decimal order. There are first, second and third place prizes up for grabs for students with the fastest times!

Suffolk Libraries will be making a guest appearance in the University of Suffolk Library on Tuesday and Wednesday of LIbraries week. They'll be ready and waiting to sign you up to the public library service!
Suffolk Libraries is a network of 46 different public libraries across Suffolk, which hold millions of cross-disciplinary print and eResources.
