The University Car Park on Long Street is closest to the Library Building.
Registered University of Suffolk students and staff may use the car parks below with a permit.
The hours of operation of each car park are displayed at each location.
All car parks are operated by Ipserv. To contact Ipserv, email or call 01473 432222. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) has been introduced and number plate information of vehicles accessing the car parks is shared with Ipserv to assist them with enforcement.
Staff and Students must register their vehicles on My Suffolk and obtain a Car Parking Permit to be eligible to park at the University Car Park, The Wharf Car Park or to access Athena Hall Car Park at concessionary rates. Permits run from 1st August to 31st July each year and must be in date and displayed at all times on the windscreen of the vehicle when parking.
Permits are free of charge and can be ordered online here: Car Parking Permit Application Form.
The daily rate for parking is £2 Monday to Friday (£2.32 with the RingGo app). Parking is free of charge on weekends and outside of term time.
Payment can be made at pay and display machines (cash, contactless debit/credit card, debit/credit card via PIN, and via the Ringo app. Please note that a service fee is charged per transaction made using Ringo, currently 20p).
There are parking bays clearly marked which may also be utilised by staff and students with an Exception permit. Blue Badge Holders are not required to pay the daily parking tariff, although others with Exception Permits will need to. Holders of a Blue Badge or Exception Permits must also have a UOS Parking Permit.
Please ensure both Blue Badge/Exception Permit and UOS Parking Permits are clearly displayed when parked on campus.
If you are a Blue Badge holder FMHelpdesk will need to record information for Ipserv, Estates will need to be advised of the Blue Badge number together with vehicle details. Please e-mail the information to FMHelpdesk@uos.ac.uk.
