I joined Learning Services in November 2018, working Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There are two distinct parts to my role here at the University of Suffolk; PASS Adviser and Study Skills.
Within my Study Skills role, I support students on both a one-to-one basis and within workshops, facilitating learners to improve their study skills; time management, poster development, motivation and procrastination, presentations, revision skills and exam preparation. Within this role I also support with IT skills; Microsoft Office Skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
As the PASS Adviser I oversee the running of UoS PASS provisions. As part of my role I plan and deliver PASS Leader training, create resources and offer support and guidance to the PASS Leaders.
Prior to joining the UoS I was in full time education and teaching art in the FE sector.
I spend the rest of my working week teaching art within the Adult Community Learning sector and facilitating a Graduate and Creative Practitioner Support Programme, within the charity sector. I am also a practicing artist and exhibit both nationally and internationally.
