As an Academic Skills Advisor, I support students' development as creative, enquiring and independent learners. I am available to advise on any aspect of academic skills, including reading, writing, planning and referencing. I also work with staff to embed academic skills into their courses.
I joined the University of Suffolk in May 2019. Prior to this, I taught, mentored and supported students at the University of York, Anglia Ruskin University and West Suffolk College.
I completed my PhD in English and Related Literature at the University of York, funding the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Prior to this I studied and the University of York (BA English and Related Literature) and University of Edinburgh (MSc Film Studies).
I also have a PGCert in 'Languages, Literacies and Dyslexia' and provide Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support for students with Specific Learning Differences.
I am currently completing the Post Graduate Certificate of Academic Practice at the University of Suffolk.
