Customer Services Supervisor

I joined University of Suffolk in 2012 as part of the Registry team, before moving into the role of Infozone Adviser in 2013. My main areas of work involved providing advice and information to students, prospective students, staff and the general public on a range of the university Professional Services, I am also the specialist in the internal enquiry management system that the Professional Services use.  I also completed an MA in Childhood and Youth Studies at University of Suffolk in 2016, which I studied alongside my full-time role in the Infozone.

I am currently on secondment within Library Services as the Customer Services Supervisor. I have been in this post since September 2018.

My main role in Learning Services is to supervise the front of house operations. You will find myself or a member of the Customer Service Team at the friendly helpdesk in the library building. My other responsibilities include:

  • Gaining feedback from service users –including the critical friends campaign.
  • Ensuring the Library floor is staffed to help you, including evenings and weekends.
  • Implementing a new enquiry management system to answer enquiries our users may have.
  • Approving access to our Library including External Borrowers and SCONUL applications
  • Overseeing the Interlibrary Loan Procedure

Prior to joining the university, I worked for the Students' Union at Swansea Metropolitan University. I graduated from Swansea Metropolitan University in 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Public Services.
