Getting Started

Welcome to the Researcher's Toolkit

The toolkit seeks to support the researcher at every stage of the research journey and has been developed to offer you practical advice and suggestions to help you design, conduct and write up a research project. All sections are mapped to the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) an external professional development framework for planning, promoting and supporting the personal, professional and career development of researchers within HE. The RDF articulates the knowledge, behaviours and attributes of successful researchers and encourages them to aspire to excellence through achieving higher levels of development.

The Research and Enterprise Development Programme provides professional and personal development opportunities to support the growing research and enterprise community at University of Suffolk. Delivered collaboratively with the academic schools, other professional services and external organisations, the programme offers a range of workshops, seminars, online modules and resources designed to meet the development needs of postgraduate research students and early career research staff. All of the sessions within the programme are aligned to the RDF.
