Borrowing, Renew, Reserve and Return

Borrow, Reserve, Renew and Return

Using the collections at our Libraries

All of the students and staff at all of our centres are able to visit and use resources at all of the University of Suffolk Libraries. Each centre has its own collection, and our customers will need to take their University of Suffolk card with them and register at each library before they can begin to borrow. Some important things to remember are:

  • Currently, you will need to visit the library in person to borrow, and return items.
  • To renew items you will need to access your registered account at that library. you can also contact that library directly to request a renewal.
  • All libraries have their own online catalogues, which you can use to place reservations. You will need to visit that library to collect the item.
  • If you return your loan late you will be charged fines in line with the policy at that library. You will need to pay the fees at that library.

You do also have access to a wide range of eBooks, and wherever possible we do try to buy eBooks copies of any books marked as essential reading on reading lists. You can find these through Summon.
