Workshop Aims and Outcomes

With the increasing amount of students wanting a proofreading service due to having english as a second language or having a learning difficulty or just wanting help to proofread, this software was sourced. This workshop introduces students and staff  to this text to speech software programme enabling them to become independent users of the software that helps the user to read aloud documents, tint the screen, assist with proofreading and study skills.


To introduce Texthelp Read&Write software and the benefits of using it for staff and students.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session you will:

  • gain practical experience in manipulating the toolbar

  • gain practical experience in using ‘Reading features’ for reading any documents

  • gain practical experience in using the ‘screen masking features’ tool

  • identify Texthelp RW’s potential to enhance your academic work

The session will include the following:

  • Hands-on practice with the Read&Write toolbars main features

Pre-requisites: Please bring a pair of headphones with you
