Getting started with EndNote Desktop
Select the Windows start button (bottom left of the screen), in the search box type in EndNote.
EndNote will appear in the list of programmes.
Create your EndNote Library
When you first open EndNote, you will see a blank screen.
You need to create a library into which you will save your references.
The Library is where you can store or see your references.
- To create a library click on File and New, then save the library
- The file will end .enl
Note: it is sensible to save to a USB. We would advise that you don’t save your library to a network drive or cloud based drive (Dropbox, Google etc) as these can become corrupted over time
