Nineteenth Century UK Periodicals collection contains more than two million pages of historic newspapers published between 1800 and 1900 in the United Kingdom. The resources covers the events, lives, values, and themes that shaped the nineteenth century world. Few of the materials in this extensive collection have ever been reissued, in any format since original publication. Titles included have been identified and selected by leading scholars in nineteenth century studies; their choices reflect the broad scope and thrust of research and teaching in the twenty-first century.

The Bibliography of British and Irish History provides bibliographic data on historical writing dealing with the British Isles, and with the British Empire and Commonwealth, during all periods for which written documentation is available - from 55BC to the present. The complete database now contains over 640,000 records, and is updated three times a year, usually in February, June and October.
As well as providing details of publications, the Bibliography provides links to help you find the items that it lists in research libraries, and it provides links to online text where available. There are also links to online book reviews and, from 2019 onward, the Bibliography has carried information about printed reviews of the books that it lists.
