Finding Resources: Your Library Account

Our user-friendly Library platform is available 24/7, enabling you to effortlessly manage your library account from any location. Simply log in to our platform to enjoy a range of convenient features:

• Reserve print resources. Reserve resources to ensure item availability and bypass the need to physically browse the library shelves.
• Track loaned items. Monitor the status and due date of materials currently loaned to you, ensuring prompt returns.
• Explore loan history. Review your borrowing history to revisit past subjects and rediscover valuable resources.
• Save and organize reading. Save and organize previous searches and bookmark items of interest to save time, manage your research materials and create personalized collections tailored to your needs.
• Expand your resource pool. Can’t find something you need? Discovery allows you to submit resource requests. Through our interlibrary loan and stock suggestion services, we strive to broaden your access to an extensive range of academic resources, connecting you with the materials you require.

Access your library account here. Alternatively, when searching in Discovery, click "Sign in", located in the upper right corner of your screen. 

You will be prompted to “Select a service to sign into”:

• If you are an Ipswich Campus based or staff member, or on a teacher training course, click the second button (“University of Suffolk Staff and Students”)
• If you are an external SCONUL, Alumni or Public member, click the first button (“External Library Users”).

You’ll need your student credentials (S number and password) to login. External members should refer to their membership approval email for further guidance.

Please note: Students not based at our Ipswich campus don't have access to our physical (print) resources and so do not have library accounts. To find out whether you have a print library account, check here.

But don't worry! You still have access to all of our electronic resources. Simply search Discovery and provide your UOS student credentials (S-number email address and password) at the point of access!
