The National Children’s Bureau is the leading national charity which supports children, young people and families and those who work with them. Their vision is a society in which children and young people are valued, their rights respected and responsibilities enhanced; our mission, to advance the well-being of children and young people across every aspect of their lives.
International Visual Sociology Association is a nonprofit, democratic and academically orientated professional organisation devoted to the visual study of society, culture and social relationships. The aim is to promote the study, production and use of visual images, data and materials in teaching, research and applied activities. Visual Studies is the official, international, peer reviewed journal of IVSA with a long standing commitment to multidisciplinary empirical visual research, studies of visual and material culture and the exploration of visual means of communication about social and cultural worlds.
Children’s research centre. The CRC is all about children by children. The primary objective is to empower children and young people as active researchers. The CRC recognises that children are experts on their own lives and they value the child's perspective and believe in promoting child voice by supporting children to carry out research on topics that are important to them. The CRC is based at the Open University in Milton Keynes and the website has links to numerous schools and community organisations nationally and internationally and exist to contribute to the body of knowledge on childhood and children's lived experiences.
