We strongly encourage you to return items on time to ensure all students/staff have equal access to resources.
As of 22nd January 2024, a revised "long overdue" policy will be introduced. From this date, items overdue for 4 weeks or more will be assumed lost, and the replacement charges automatically added to your account. More information is available here.
Items can be returned via the:
- Book drop: drop boxes are situated in the Waterfront Building Foyer and Student Union Social Space, simply pop your books in the box; we’ll do the rest! Our drop boxes are emptied at least once every 24-hours.
- Library self-service kiosks: click the “Return” button and place the books in the designated space under the screen. No need to scan your student card, simply wait for the green ticks to appear and place the books on the trollies to your left and right.
- Library Helpdesk: simply drop off the books with a member of staff, and they will return the books from your account.
- Freepost return: email learningservices@uos.ac.uk for more details
