The Enhanced Personal Tutor (EPT) role complements the blended learning materials, and an EPT is allocated for every new apprentice learning in nursing at the beginning of the course. The EPT is a member of the academic nursing team, and is someone who can get to know the apprentice and support them throughout the course, providing advice where needed both pastorally and academically. The EPT will help the apprentice to develop theoretical knowledge to underpin practice, whilst also advising and supporting mentors in their educational and assessment activities. EPT's have weekly contact with learner while they are in practice, supporting their learning experience and reviewing the blended learning materials to ensure learners are progressing and achieving the most from the programme.
