Cite Them Right is the official guide that has been chosen by The University of Suffolk for students and staff to use to support the various referencing styles applied.
You can use the website for free but there is also a print version available.
If using a print version, ensure it is the latest edition which is currently Cite them Right 12th.
The Cite Them Right website can seem a little daunting at first but once you understand how to navigate and use the website, you can find out how to reference nearly every source you ever find!

Once you have watched the video guide on navigating and using the Cite Them Right website, use the tabs to learn more about the different types of resources and follow the links to the Cite Them Right guides on how to format your referencing in-text and in your end reference list.
Top tips:
Make sure you have selected the correct referencing style for example Harvard, APA, Vancouver, etc.
Use the ‘you try’ box next to the guide to help you practice how to write the full citation.
