It also contains a useful discovery tool designed by Jisc. The discovery tool is a developmental tool that students and staff can use to self-assess their digital capabilities, identify their strengths and offers opportunities to develop their skills further to enhance their practice of learning.

University of Suffolk is offering all of our Ipswich Campus students free access to LinkedIn Learning throughout your studies with us. LinkedIn Learning has has over 21,000 courses in 24 languages, with new courses added weekly! It has a wide range of topics including how to use Microsoft software, statistics and SPSS as well as topics on using AI and developing various skills for the professional workplace.

LinkedIn Learning will be available to all Ipswich Campus students whilst you are studying with us. Some of you will want to use it on a regular basis, some may only want to drop in once and use a couple of resources.
Each summer we will be checking usage for the year and if you’ve only logged in a couple of times we will deactivate your account until you are ready to use it again. When you graduate we will deactive your account permanently. However, don’t worry it won’t impact your LinkedIn account! You may find in the future you work for an employer who also provides LinkedIn Learning and you may be able to access it again.
Library & Learning Services provides a 121 appointment service where you can book a slot with our Digital Skills Advisor to get direct one to one support.
The Digital Skills Advisor supports students with general digital skills and helps seek solutions for more complex queries.
Some of the queries we can support you with are document creation & formatting, presentation creation, file management & organisation, spreadsheets basics, email communication, basic design skills, digital safety & privacy, collaboration tools, and keyboard shortcuts & navigation
These one-to-one appointments are for digital skills support, not IT issues such as account access or technical faults. Please log a ticket with Minerva for any of these issues.
