During your study you may encounter significant personal difficulties that impact on your ability to study for, or complete, summative assessments. The University refers to these personal difficulties as extenuating circumstances.
There are two mechanisms by which you can seek assistance when you have (or realise you are going to) miss an assessment deadline or exam. These mechanisms are assignment extensions and deferrals.
Any applications for extensions or deferrals should be submitted using the online Extenuating Circumstances form in OASIS at least five working days in advance of the assignment deadline or examination date. Please note Module and Course Leaders are not able to grant extensions or deferrals.
