The University's commitment to the delivery of a high quality academic experience for our students is coupled with a commitment to ensuring that all staff, where appropriate have AdvanceHE Fellowship. This includes all academic staff, and those in professional services directorates who work in roles which directly impact the success and achievement of our students, for example, Learning and Teaching Librarians, Careers and Employability Consultants, Academic Skills Advisors, Learning Designers and Technical Learning Instructors.
We offer direct award of fellowship at levels D1 Associate Fellow (AFHEA), D2 Fellow (FHEA) and D3 Senior Fellow (SFHEA). Staff wishing to apply for Principal Fellow (PFHEA) should apply directly to AdvanceHE.

The University of Suffolk has accreditation for three routes to Fellowship. Detail about each, and the criteria you must meet to participate in any of these is provided below. For teaching staff joining the University, without a relevant HE teaching qualification, participation typically forms a part of your probation,
APA | This is the default taught programme route for early career academics with responsibility for learning and teaching. It is the same taught content as the PgCAP, and leads to Fellowship (D2) on completion. The End Point Assessor is AdvanceHE. |

PASSPoRT | This is the portfolio route for fellowship, and can be awarded up to D3, SFHEA, by the University. Candidates should complete a range of activities, as appropriate, including Peer Review, Personal Academic Coaching and Digipaths. |
