PC audits are now a rolling weekend task.
You will need to do this in advance of opening at 10am, so please start asap upon arrival with everyone pitching in where possible to expedite the process. As this could be quite an involved process, the Saturday and Sunday teams should each do one area each.

Spare mice / keyboards / ethernet cables are available in the L107 cupboards if they are needed.
Any urgent issues should be immediately reported to IT and recorded on the IT issues reporting spreadsheet, as well as the this spreadsheet (linked on your guide). Any non-urgent issues (i.e. USB port doesn’t work) do not need to be reported to IT.
Please ensure that you place a booking on any PCs which are not working; this is to ensure that the space cannot be booked by any students. You will need to make a recurring booking for two weeks as standard, to give the IT team time to rectify any issues. Please make a note of where you have done this on the Audit spreadsheet.
To reduce risk, please ensure to sanitise your hands and wear gloves during this process. You should also wipe down the workstations after completion.
In your role, you will be required to log onto, use and advise on a variety of platforms and systems. We have created guides for each system specific to the Library. For other University systems and platforms, you should visit the IT service page for more guidance.
Guidance on how to connect to Eduroam is available here. A university login is required.
Guests of the university must use SuffolkUni, as per the instructions available here.
Students from other universities, typically SCONUL users, ought to be able to use Eduroam with their home university email and password.

If patrons are having difficulty printing, they can email their document to learningservices@uos.ac.uk, and we will print on their behalf. We are currently not taking any form of cash payment. To pay for printing patrons are required to complete a reprographics payment via the online shop.
We will receive notification of this payment via the LibAnswers inbox. All reprographics payments will need to be recorded on this spreadsheet.
Please note that when students pay via this method, they are paying by debit or credit card. The cost will not come out of their account print credits.
If a student requires a refund of their print credits, they can contact itservicedesk@uos.ac.uk or log a refund request via PaperCut.
You will sometimes need to log tickets with the IT helpdesk to report issues you, a patron, or the Library Service is experiencing.
