The default is for assessments to be submitted electronically, including presentations which should be recorded and uploaded. Exceptions to this should be clearly identified, and based upon the particular nature of the assessment.
Students will be able to submit draft work through Turnitin (Tii) in advance of submission. The ability to allow for draft submissions is created by Course Administrators while setting up submission points. The number of draft submissions which can be made will reduce as students progress through their course, as their confidence and ability in academic writing increases. After each draft submission students will receive a Tii Similarity Report. Guidance in interpreting these reports will be published. Academic Skills Advisors will also be able to support students through one-to-one appointments.
Students will be able to submit draft assessments to Tii before submitting final versions. The number of times a draft submission can be made will reduce as the student progresses through their course, and increases confidence and capability in academic writing and integrity.
The ability to submit drafts is created by your Course Administrator as part of the creation of submission points in Brightspace.
These draft submissions are to allow students to use Tii as a developmental tool, there is no requirement for academics to mark read or feedback on these submissions.
Guidance is also available for course teams, and OSACC.
