Brightspace: AV Support

Audio-Visual Support

At the University of Suffolk, we are committed to providing seamless audio visual (AV) support for all your teaching needs. For urgent assistance with either microphones, cameras, speakers, projectors, or screens in your teaching space on the Ipswich campus, you can contact Jon Phipps (our dedicated AV Support Advisor) directly on 01473 339097 or by email via j.phipps@uos.ac.uk.

He will respond promptly to your enquiry and provide
either remote troubleshooting or in-person assistance as required.

Alternatively, you can report a fault by raising a ticket on Minervaour Digital and IT Service Helpdesk Portal. In Jon’s absence, a member of the DIT Service Desk team will handle and resolve your query for you.

In room guidance

Each teaching space across campus now has guidance available. Each guide includes a QR code which takes you to a feedback form, so you can comment on your experience with both the AV equipment and any support you received. This valuable data will aid us in making continuous improvements to our services.

You will also be able to find video tutorials in support of these guides, so you can easily play around with, practice, and prepare with the AV kit before your sessions so that you can deliver them confidently, efficiently, and with reduced stress. The first of these video tutorials can be found here on YouTube, for rooms W416, W312, W310, W217, and W116 in the Waterfront, which had new AV equipment installed in the Summer of the 2024.
