Employability, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship

Led by Amy Carpenter, Head of Careers, Employability and Enterprise

Scope

In the last academic year, this task and finish group has gathered information in relation to current practice for the embedding of employability, enterprise and entrepreneurship in the curriculum, as well as the provision from Careers Enterprise and Employability. The University's Graduate Attributes have been shared with local employers and organisations to test their relevance and employer expectations.

In this next year, the group will oversee a pilot of tools to further embed skills mapped to the attributes into curricular and assessment, and the provision of self-auditing and referral resources for students.

Outputs

Expected outputs from this group are:

  • the pilot of embedded skills in curriculum in one programme in each academic school,
  • the development of an integrated, student facing platform through which they can audit their skill level and self-refer to additional activities and enhancement,
  • and an evaluation of success and impact and recommendations for change and or wider roll out.
