Assessment, EMA and Turnitin Update 2

11 September 2019

Following the first in a series of emails (12/7/2019) in relation to the outcomes of the Assessment and Feedback Task and Finish Group we are pleased to announce further support for making use of the tools available in Brightspace to support Electronic Management of Assessment (EMA).

An online introduction to Brightspace course (including new assessment annotation tools) has been developed that follows the agreed best practice and is now available for staff to use to support their understanding of the learning environment.  In addition to the Introduction to Brightspace course, further versions are being developed to help support more advanced users of the environment.

Workshops for both Brightspace and EMA along with Turnitin Support are now being advertised, these workshops will support you in your use of Brightspace and how to interpret the Similarity Report that is generated by Turnitin when a student submits an assessment.

Should you have any particular questions or can already identify any particular support that may be required individually or collectively in implementing EMA then please let us know.
