There are a number of reports which are run in WMS regularly. Unfortunately at the moment WMS cannot email directly itself, so we need to download the files and then upload them in share point, and then email them to the librarians.
The main report we run weekly is the Unfulfilled holds report. This is in the folder location: 2.0 UKUSF/Circulation/Weekly Reports. Run the report and export it as an excel file. Open it and format it correctly if needed. Then upload to the share point folder below:
The sharepoint location NEEDS TO BE MADE
Then email to the librarians.
We also run an overdue locker key report and an items on expired accounts report on an ad-hoc basis. These are just in the 2.0 UKUSF folder.
Worldshare have a whole database of guidance on how to use their reporting software here: https://help.oclc.org/Library_Management/WorldShare_Reports
This includes how to guides, with training examples which walk you through making and using reports. There are also lists of all the possible report objects you can query or get results of.
Also quite helpful is the analytics community centre this is a forum which gives advice on worldshare reporting, and also does monthly 'office hours' where you can ask for help with a specific report and they will record a video answering your query.
When you first open analytics, you'll be greeted by a file structure. This will either be 'My Documents' where any reports you've been working on have been saved locally, or 'Folders'. The 'Folders' tab has a lot of sub-folders. The basic understanding of these is:
Most of the time you'll just need to look in 2.0 UKUSF as that's where the reports we have written to get the information we typically want are, but if you're looking to build a new report it can be useful to look in the other folders to see if you can use someone else's report as a starting point.
If you want to make a report completely from scratch, you need to click the 'Applications' drop down next to your name in the top right hand corner. Then select 'Web Intelligence' and then on the page which opens up select the 'new document' icon (looks like a piece of paper with a folded corner). Then you can select the universe and enter your query and select your report objects. (If that all sounds confusing, please check out the guidance on OCLC's website linked above)
